Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know — from pricing and process to the details of each service we build.

General
What is JSI Group?
JSI Group is a full-service digital agency. We design and build websites, online stores, AI tools, booking and membership platforms, automation systems, and the custom web apps businesses run on — for businesses of all sizes, from startups launching their first site to established companies that need enterprise-level platforms.
Who do you work with?
We work with any company of any size. If you're looking to grow and scale your business, we can help. Big time.
How do I get started?
Fill out the contact form on our site, select the service you're interested in, and we'll be in touch to schedule a discovery call.
Do you work with clients outside the US?
Yes. We work with clients everywhere — location is never a barrier.
Pricing & Payment
How does pricing work?
Every project is scoped based on your exact requirements. Our service pages show starting prices so you know what to expect, but the final investment depends on your specific scope, features, and timeline.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. We require full payment upfront for most projects. For larger builds, a 50/50 split — half to start, half at launch — is available on request.
Are there monthly fees?
Every build includes ongoing hosting and care at a monthly rate. This covers your site staying live, secure, and maintained after launch. The monthly fee is listed on each service.
Is the monthly fee required?
Yes, it covers hosting and maintenance. Anything you need or want changed is covered. It's also what keeps your site running at full performance after we hand it off.
Can I upgrade my service later?
Absolutely. Many clients start with a web build and add on more advanced systems as their business grows. We make it easy to expand.
Process & Timeline
What's the process after I reach out?
We start with a discovery call, email, text, or submission to understand your goals. From there we scope the project, align on design direction, build it out, and launch. You're involved at every key step.
How do we communicate during the project?
Email is our primary channel. You'll always know where things stand and we're responsive throughout the entire build.
What do I need to provide to get started?
At minimum — an idea of what you need, your brand assets if you have them, and access to your domain and any existing platforms we need to connect. Every service has specific requirements we walk you through after the discovery call.
What if I need changes after launch?
Minor updates are covered under your monthly plan. Larger additions or new features are scoped as a separate project.
Technical
Will my site work on mobile?
Every build is fully responsive. It works perfectly on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Is SEO included?
Yes. SEO — including local search optimization — is built into every project from the start, not sold as an add-on. Your site is structured, tagged, and optimized for search engines before it ever goes live.
Who hosts the site?
We handle all hosting. Your site is deployed on enterprise-grade infrastructure with fast load times and reliable uptime.
Can I update the site myself after it's built?
Depending on the build, yes. If you want a content management system so you can make edits yourself, we factor that in during scoping.
What if something breaks after launch?
That's what the monthly plan covers. If anything goes wrong we handle it — you don't need to find someone to fix it.
Services
Web Design & Development
How long will it take?
Most websites are ready in 2–3 days, depending on the number of pages and how quickly you get us your content.
Do I need an existing site?
No. We build from scratch or redesign what you already have — either works.
Do I get a logo?
If you're a new business without one, yes — a custom logo is included so you launch with a complete brand. If you already have a logo, we design the site around it.
What if I don't have brand colors, fonts, or a domain yet?
We can develop your full brand identity — logo, colors, and fonts — as part of the build, and help you secure the right domain. You come away with a complete presence, not just a website.
What if I don't have content ready?
We can work with placeholders and swap in your real content as you provide it. Having copy and images ready speeds things up but it's not a blocker.
How many pages can I have?
That's part of what we figure out in discovery. The number of pages affects the timeline and final scope.
Can you write the copy for me?
Copywriting is outside the standard scope but can be added on. Let us know during discovery and we'll factor it in.
Automated Vendor & Subscription Expense Management
How long will it take to set up?
1–2 weeks to connect your accounting software or bank feed and run the first full audit of your vendor stack. Ongoing monitoring continues monthly after that.
What does Automated Vendor & Subscription Expense Management actually include?
Continuous tracking of every recurring charge, alerts on price increases and duplicate subscriptions, and a monthly savings report showing exactly what we found and what it's costing you.
Do I need to give you access to my bank account?
We connect through a secure, read-only accounting or banking integration — we can see transactions to flag issues, but we can never move money.
What if I want to keep a subscription you flag?
That's your call — we flag it, you decide. Nothing gets cancelled without your sign-off.
How much can this actually save me?
It varies by business, but most companies are surprised how much they're paying for tools they forgot about or no longer use — the monthly report shows the exact dollar amount every time.
AI Lead Follow-Up & Nurture Automation
How long will it take to set up?
1–2 weeks to connect your CRM or lead inbox, map your lead sources, and write the initial follow-up sequences. Ongoing work continues monthly after that.
How is this different from the AI Phone Receptionist?
The phone receptionist answers or texts back people calling your business line, in real time. Lead Follow-Up works in the background — automatically reaching out to leads that came in through your CRM or forms, even if they never call back. Many clients run both.
What does AI Lead Follow-Up & Nurture Automation actually include?
Automated follow-up sequences the moment a new lead comes in, re-engagement outreach for leads that have gone quiet, CRM syncing so nothing falls through the cracks, and a monthly report on response and conversion rates.
Will the follow-up messages sound like a generic bot?
No. Messages are trained on your business and written to sound like a real follow-up from your team, not a mass blast.
Does this replace my sales team?
No — it makes sure no lead goes cold before your team gets to it. Hot replies and booked calls still route straight to you.
What do you need from me to get started?
Access to your CRM or lead inbox, your typical sales process, and what a good lead looks like for your business. We handle the sequences and tracking from there.
AI Reputation & Response Automation
How long will it take to set up?
1–2 weeks to connect your review platforms and get the AI trained on how you respond. Ongoing monitoring continues monthly after that.
What review platforms do you support?
Google, Facebook, and Yelp by default, with other platforms available on request. New reviews trigger a real-time alert with an AI-drafted response waiting on your approval — nothing goes out until you say so.
API Integration & Automation
How long will it take?
Most integrations are done in 3–7 days, depending on how many tools are involved and how complex the workflows are.
What can you connect?
Almost any tools with an API — your CRM, payment processor, email and marketing platforms, accounting software, scheduling, e-commerce, and custom databases. If it has an API or a webhook, we can usually connect it.
What can be automated?
The repetitive, manual steps between systems — moving data, sending notifications, updating records, generating invoices, and syncing inventory or bookings. A trigger in one tool kicks off actions in the others automatically.
Will it work with the software I already use?
Yes — that's the point. We build around your existing stack instead of replacing it, so the tools you already rely on start talking to each other.
What if an integration breaks or an API changes?
Your monthly plan covers monitoring and maintenance. If a connection fails or a provider changes their API, we catch it and fix it so your workflows keep running.
Instant Quote & Estimate Tool
How long will it take?
Typically 3–5 days, depending on how your pricing model works and what's wired into it.
How accurate are the estimates?
Accurate enough to be a real ballpark, not a binding quote — it's meant to get someone a fast, honest number and capture their contact info, with a human confirming the exact price before any work starts.
Can it work from a photo?
Yes, for businesses where that fits — a customer uploads a photo and gets an estimate based on what's shown. For others, a short form works better. We scope it to how your pricing actually works.
Does it capture leads even if they don't book?
Yes. Every quote request captures the customer's contact info automatically, so even the ones who don't book on the spot become a real lead you can follow up with.
What do you need from me?
Your pricing logic — what drives the cost up or down — and any existing quote or estimate process. We handle the tool, the design, and the lead capture.
Multi-Location Operations
How long will it take?
Usually 3–4 weeks, depending on how many locations you run and how many systems need to be unified.
How many locations does this work for?
Two is enough to be worth it; there's no real upper limit. The platform is built to scale the same way whether you run 3 locations or 20.
Can each location have different hours, pricing, or staff?
Yes. Every location keeps its own settings — hours, pricing, staff, inventory — while still reporting into one unified dashboard.
Does it replace what each location is using now?
It's designed to. The point is one system instead of several disconnected ones, so we scope a migration plan for each existing tool during discovery.
What do you need from me?
A list of your locations, what each one currently uses for booking/inventory/staffing, and how you want reporting to work across all of them.
AI Employee Scheduling & Shift Management
How long will it take?
Usually 1–2 weeks, depending on your locations, roles, and shift rules.
Can staff swap shifts or pick up open ones themselves?
Yes — that's the point. Open shifts get an AI-ranked list of the best-fit staff by availability, skills, and hours already worked, and swap requests get handled automatically instead of relying on a group text and hoping someone sees it in time.
Does it integrate with our payroll or POS system?
In most cases, yes — this pairs well with API Integration & Automation if you want scheduling data flowing directly into payroll or your point-of-sale system.
Can staff request time off through it?
Yes. Time-off requests, call-outs, and open-shift coverage are all handled in the same dashboard — no separate spreadsheet or group text needed.
What do you need from me?
Your locations, roles, shift rules, and how time-off and call-outs currently get handled — we build the system around how your team actually operates.
Booking & Scheduling Add-On
Can I add booking to my website?
Yes — Booking & Scheduling is available as an add-on to Web Design & Development ($5,000+, +$300/mo), not a standalone build.
What can clients book?
Any service, class, or appointment you offer — single sessions, recurring bookings, group classes, or multi-staff availability. Clients pick a time that's actually open and book in seconds.
Does it take payments or deposits?
Yes. You can require full payment, a deposit, or nothing up front — processed securely at booking to cut down on no-shows.
Will it sync with my calendar?
Yes. It syncs with your existing calendar so availability is always accurate and you never get double-booked.
AI Phone Receptionist & Missed-Call Recovery
How long will it take?
Usually 1–2 weeks to train it on your business, connect it to your number, test it, and deploy.
How does missed-call text-back work?
The moment a call to your business goes unanswered, the caller automatically gets a text letting them know you'll be in touch — so a missed call turns into a conversation instead of a lost lead to a competitor.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. It connects to the number you already have and give out — nothing changes for your customers.
Will it sound like a generic bot?
No. It's trained on your business, your information, and your tone, so it responds like part of your team — not an off-the-shelf script.
What if it doesn't know an answer?
It's built with guardrails. If it's unsure, it routes the call to a human or captures the contact so nothing falls through the cracks.
AI Search Visibility
How long will it take to set up?
1–2 weeks to restructure your site's content, schema, and FAQ data. Monthly reporting continues after that.
Is this the same as SEO?
No. SEO is about ranking in Google's search results; this is about being cited by name inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews — a different technical job, and increasingly a different traffic source entirely.
How do you measure if it's working?
A monthly report on what AI engines are actually citing about your business, and how that compares to competitors — so you can see the shift from invisible to recommended.
Do I need to keep adding content?
Recency matters — AI engines weigh how current your information is when deciding what to cite. Keeping content fresh is part of the ongoing service, not a one-time setup.
Membership & Online Course Platforms
How long will it take?
Usually 2–4 weeks, depending on your tiers, course content, and billing setup.
What can I sell?
Courses, digital products, memberships, or any gated content — one-time purchases or recurring subscriptions, with multiple tiers if you want.
Can students track their progress?
Yes. Members get lessons with progress tracking and completion status, and can pick up right where they left off.
How does billing work?
Recurring billing is built in — monthly or annual plans, free trials, and access that turns on and off automatically based on payment status.
Do I own my audience and content?
Completely. Unlike renting space on a third-party platform, you own the platform, the member data, and 100% of the revenue.
Custom Web Apps
How long will it take?
Usually 4–8 weeks, scoped into clear phases — you get a firm timeline before we start.
What counts as a custom web app?
Anything off-the-shelf software can't do well — internal dashboards, client portals, booking or payment flows, data tools, or custom integrations between systems you already use.
How do you handle data and security?
Apps are built on secure, modern infrastructure with proper authentication, access controls, and encryption. Security is designed in from the start, not bolted on.
Can it connect to tools I already use?
Yes. We integrate with your existing CRM, payment processor, calendar, or any service with an API so everything works together.
How long does a custom app take?
It depends on complexity. We scope it into clear phases, give you a timeline up front, and often ship a working first version before expanding.
